It seems that they are spending a lot of their time enforcing the parking regulations, do the following regulations really make sense?:
Vehicles are not allowed to park over the sidewalk. On street parking is not allowed. Any parked vehicle must have all of it's tires off of the pavement. Any truck parked on the pavement such as lawn care, landscapers , contractors or repair must put out traffic cones in front of and behind said vehicle as per Palm Beach County regulations. Palm Beach County classifies the swale as a place for water runoff and temporary parking.
We pay $116k year for 40 hours a week of PBSO Deputy. He doesn't have a radar gun to address speeders on Pheasant Way. He just parks out there as a deterrent.
ReplyDeleteWe could do alot with that money. Even the Captain of PBSO said at a Board Meeting that our crime rate didn't justify having the deputy coverage.
